Please note that these are recommended resources. No single scholar or author is perfect, and I (Pastor Matt) disagree with most authors on a few points (and I’m not perfect either!). However, these are helpful resources for growing in Christ. These pages will be updated as I finish new resources when I believe they will be helpful for lay individuals. Generally, I will avoid recommending specialist resources (works requiring knowledge of Biblical Greek/Hebrew or technical philosophy/theology), though they may be excellent. These pages are also not comprehensive, and your favorite author/preacher/speaker may be missing with no slight intended against them.

Tools and authors that help us study the Bible help us to determine the meaning of individual texts and books. Biblical Theology is a related discipline looking to find what themes arise out of the Bible and connect throughout the Bible to illuminate its meaning.
