1. God created the heavens and the earth and all who dwell upon it (Genesis 1).
2. Our first ancestor Adam sinned; therefore, all humanity suffers from having a sin nature, and a broken relationship with God (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3).
3. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 5:23).
4. God’s just sentencing for sin is death and hell (Romans 6:23).
5. God sent his son Jesus Christ to show us the Kingdom of God, to die for us on the cross to make atonement for our sin, to rise again in a resurrected body, and to reign forever (Matthew 4:17; Romans 3:24-25; Luke 24:1-12; Matthew 28:18-20).
6. In Jesus Christ, God has provided the one and only means of salvation (Acts 4:12; John 14:6).
7. Salvation is a complete, free gift of God’s grace that forgives our sin and transgressions, and gives us new life in Christ. Along with this new life God gives a new nature and power to live to please God (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:4-10; Romans 6:20-23).
8. The only way to receive this gift of salvation is by having faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, confessing with your lips and believing in your heart. When we are saved, we are born again (John 3:14-16; Romans 10:9-10; 1 John 5:6-14).
9. Once born again, the Holy Spirit will sanctify the believer by killing off sin and producing good fruit in the believer’s life. While we will not be “perfect” in this life, God will surely bear good fruit in the believer’s life (Matthew 7:17-27; Colossians 3:1-17; 2 Peter 1:3-11; Titus 2:11-14; Galatians 5:16-25).
10. Once born again, it is a natural step to publicly proclaim one’s allegiance to Jesus Christ through baptism, learning to obey all of God’s commandments, sharing the gospel with others, joining a local church, and persevering in faith (Matthew 28:18-20; Hebrews 10:22-25).

“…because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
— Romans 10:9-10.
